His earliest collaboration with newspapers and magazines dates back to the early eighties.

In 1987 he graduated in Geological Science; this degree was followed by a course of specialization in restoring stone and, subsequently, restoration projects involving important monuments of national interest.

In 1993 he decided to devote himself entirely to photography; he thereafter took part in many workshops with internationally famous photographers, and he begun to specialize in black and white prints.
He has collaborated in advertising campaigns for the Bank of Gottardo and the Transport Museum of Lucerne.
His works have been published by numerous magazines, amongst them Aqua, Antiquariato, Arte, Focus (in the Italian and Polish editions) Qui Touring, Lombardia Nord Ovest, Fotopratica, Photographia, Varese sport and Super Basket.

In 1999, he was the winner of a photographic competition run by the Regione Lombardia, "Lombardia effetto paesaggio" in the category "Parks, gardens, and woods".
In 2000, he won the photographic competition organized by the magazine Photo (Italian edition) for the best cover photograph.

At Photoshow 2001, he represented the manufacturing company of photographic equipment, Ilford, with his pictures.
For several years he has been carrying out personal research into natural and other themes.

In 2002 Art Unlimeted, in cooperation with the World Press Foundation, selected a picture that was entered for the World Press Photo contest 2001 to make a postcard.
He regularly holds courses and evenings dedicated to photography.

In two editions of IPPAWARDS (Iphone Photography awards 2014 and 2016) he got the Honorable mention.

Some of his photographs are now held in private and public collections: the Museum of Elysée of Lausanne, the Ulster Museum of Belfast, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Varese, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Rodigo (Mantua), the Favrod Collection.
